Billboard Top 20 For Week January 21st. 2010

This week we will have a change in the times and DJ's hosting the Top 20. The first airing of this show will be on Thursdays at 2am EST with McBratty and the repeat show will be on Fridays at 7pm EST with Christine.

There has been little if any movement on this chart for the last couple of months and one can only hope that the coming months will see some new additions to the chart. The main movement is between Phoenix and Alice in Chains who have moved up/down two places but still remain within the Top 10. Alice in Chains still retains both songs, 'Check My Brain' and 'Your Decision' on the chart, as their album continues to enjoy great success on radio stations internationally.

Slipknot with their song 'Snuff' sits at Number 14, showing a softer side to Slipknot than people may normally expect. Their inclusion in the Top 20 Rock Chart does, to some extent, lend credibility to a chart which has otherwise been relatively dominated by the more alternative side of Rock. We can but hope that this year will throw more of a heavier edge on to this chart...time will tell.
