Another Big Machine - Interview with Justin McCoy and Reliant

Reliant: What are the names of the band members and what instruments do they play

Justin: Justin McCoy-Vocalist
Dane Carmouche-Bass
Dustin White-Guitar
Lynn Boudreaux-Drums

Reliant: How long has the band been together?

Justin: Another Big Machine has been together for about five years now.

Reliant: For the people who haven't heard your music how would you best describe it?

Justin: I would have to say pop/rock; some of the tunes are a bit poppy and acoustically driven while others are more guitars driven and loud.

Reliant: What is your favorite song on your new cd and why?

Justin: My favorite song on the new record would have to be “Sedated”, it was written about a friend who was battling personal demons and going through some rough times in his life. It’s a message to this person letting him know that people care.

Reliant: Do you write your own material and if so what is the inspiration for it?

Justin: Yes, we do write all of our music. We draw inspiration from life experiences, people, TV, books, anything that makes us think a little.

Reliant: What plans does the band have for the future?

Justin: Hopefully some touring and a record release. We are ready for the world to here our music.

Reliant: Of all the places you've played what is your favorite and why?

Justin: The House of Blues in New Orleans, it's a good sounding room and the food is great.

Reliant: Knowing you’re from Louisiana, how has hurricane Katrina affected the band?

Justin: We've all learned how to really live in the moment and enjoy what you have and what you've earned. It could all be taken away in the blink of an eye.

Reliant: Who would you like to work with in the future?

Justin: Anyone who thinks outside the box and continues to do so.
Reliant: What bands do you currently like listening to?

Justin: The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, The Strokes to name a few.

Reliant: What do you think of internet radio?

Justin: I think it's an awesome tool, I use it to discover new bands everyday, I think it's great.
Reliant: You have gotten a lot of exposure from your video on YouTube, are you going to do another video and will it be featured on YouTube as well?

Justin: We were talking about doing some tour journals and on the road videos, so yes, stay posted!
Reliant: What are your future tour dates, so our listeners in the states can come out to see one of your shows?
